Southwest Virginia’s e-Region is strategically located in southwestern Virginia, a leading state for doing business, an ideal location to serve markets in the East and Mid-America and the world’s marketplace.
One of the East Coast’s new centers for electronic information technology, energy, education, emerging specialty manufacturing and entrepreneurs is strategically located midway between Atlanta-Pittsburgh, Charlotte-Cincinnati, and Richmond-Louisville, and is within a day’s drive of more than half of the U.S. population. Interstates 77, 81, 75, 64 and 26, excellent four-lane arteries (US 19, 23, 58, 460 and 421), broadband and 4G wireless enhance the region’s accessibility and add to its appeal as a quality location to live and work. Virginia’s e-Region also borders three states and takes advantage of a mobile workforce used to commuting and proximity to the Tri-Cities TN/VA district with a population of nearly a half million.
An energy-leading and scenic part of the U.S., Southwest Virginia’s e-Region covers 3,219 square miles and includes Buchanan, Dickenson, Lee, Russell, Scott, Tazewell and Wise counties and the City of Norton.
